Are you sitting comfortably? Then we'll begin.
Appointments usually take 2 to 3 hours, and in the case of comprehensive neuropsychological testing can take up to 6 hours (which we split up over several appointments). We will let you know when you schedule your assessment how long you should expect to be with us. Please note, we highly recommend that all patients must be accompanied by a caregiver who knows the patient well; this is because we require a medical and behavioral history of the patient and patients being tested for memory deficits aren't the best at remembering their history.
We always try to complete the testing as quickly as possible, however in most cases we can only go as fast as the patient is capable of going. So please come to the appointment prepared for your stay. We have a very comfortable waiting room.
For longer testing sessions we take breaks often and in some cases we can split up the testing over two separate appointments if it makes it easier for the patient, or the caregivers.
What to expect
Before the Appointment
Prior to the appointment, our office will send out forms to the patient or their caregivers to complete before the appointment. These forms may include requests from family members to rate the patient's behaviors in various situations.
The Intake Interview
We'll begin with a detailed interview with the patient and caregivers. Caregivers will be interviewed separately from the patient so they may speak freely of their observations and concerns.

Testing
Testing is done separate from caregivers. Testing is done using standardized tests that are specifically correlated to the patient's demographic.
Upon the completion of the testing a follow-up appointment will be scheduled.
Scoring, Analysis and Report Preparation
We will begin compiling all the test data, observations from her interview and testing, and review any rating scales.
We will then prepare a detailed and comprehensive diagnostic report listing observations, test results, diagnosis and suggestions for treatments or referrals.
The turn-around time for the report is usually one week, however 2-day turn around can be accommodated in exceptional cases (at additional charge).
Feedback Session
The patient and caregivers will return for a 30-minute feedback session over Zoom where we will review the entire report and explain the results as well as answer any questions. She will then provide the completed report to the patient. A copy of the report will also be sent to the referring physician, if applicable.

Self-Pay
Payment is due in full prior to the commencement of your assessment.

Accepted forms of payment are cash, debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover). We also accept Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). We will be happy to provide a detailed invoice, including CPT and Diagnosis codes, that the client can submit to their insurance company for reimbursement. All self-pay appointments require a $250 deposit to be scheduled, and the full balance must be paid prior to the start of the testing.
Our rates are all-inclusive and includes costs for test materials, time spent on appointment preparations, interviews, testing, scoring, analysis, research, report preparation, consultations and feedback appointments. We will always try to find the most economical method of assessing the patient.

For a second opinion, and legal consultations, Dr. Larery's standard billable rate is $250 per hour.

Note: We will never sell a diagnosis. All our tests include measures that accurately indicate if the patient is faking their symptoms. Payment of an assessment fee does not guarantee you will get a particular diagnosis. We will never purposefully provide inaccurate diagnoses because a fee has been paid because that makes us a party to insurance fraud.

Missed Appointments
Our specialists are in high demand and each appointment blocks up at-least 3 hours of the doctor's time solely for your evaluation, as such we may require you to secure your appointment with a $250 deposit or credit card hold.
Missed appointments, or appointments cancelled less-than 24 hours before the appointment, may be charged a $250 missed appointment fee, and may not be rescheduled.
