"We remember their love when they can no longer remember"
To Schedule an Appointment Please Call
Are you sitting comfortably? Then we'll begin.
Appointments usually take 2 to 3 hours, and in the case of comprehensive neuropsychological testing can take up to 8 hours (which we split up over several appointments). We will let you know when you schedule your assessment how long you should expect to be with us.
We always try to complete the testing as quickly as possible, however in most cases we can only go as fast as the patient is capable of going. So please come to the appointment prepared for your stay. We have a very comfortable waiting room.
For longer testing sessions we take breaks often and in some cases we can split up the testing over two separate appointments if it makes it easier for the patient, or the caregivers.
What to expect
Before the Appointment
Prior to the appointment, our office will send out rating scale forms to the patient's caregivers asking them to rate the patient's behaviors in various situations.
The Intake Interview
We'll begin with a detailed interview with the patient and caregivers. The conversation will be casual.
Testing is done separate from caregivers. Testing is done using standardized tests that are specifically correlated to the patient's demographic.
Upon the completion of the testing a follow-up appointment will be scheduled.
Scoring, Analysis and Report Preparation
Dr. Larery will begin compiling all the test data, observations from her interview and testing, and review any rating scales.
Dr. Larery will then prepare a detailed and comprehensive diagnostic report listing observations, test results, diagnosis and suggestions for treatments or referrals.
The turn-around time for the report is usually one week, however 2-day turn around can be accommodated in exceptional cases (at additional charge).
The patient and caregivers will return for a 30-minute feedback session where Dr. Larery will review the entire report and explain the results as well as answer any questions. She will then provide the completed report to the patient. A copy of the report will also be sent to the referring physician, if applicable.

Which is why only Ph.D.'s work with the patients at Sugar Land Neuropsychology.

We will be happy to provide a detailed invoice, including CPT and Diagnosis codes, that the client can submit to their insurance company for reimbursement. All self-pay appointments require a $250 deposit to be scheduled, and the full balance must be paid prior to the start of the testing.
Our rates are all-inclusive and includes costs for test materials, time spent on appointment preparations, interviews, testing, scoring, analysis, research, report preparation, consultations and feedback appointments. We will always try to find the most economical method of assessing the patient.
